3 signs you picked the wrong niche:
➮ You run out of ideas fast
➮ You’re only in it for the money
➮ You feel no excitement talking about it— Jackson Riley (@onejacksonriley)

I have revisited the topic of 𝕏 content and growth strategy countless times, trying a bunch of different things, all while not really knowing what I am doing.
Now, I have a clear vision on how I want to grow and understand why I am taking the approach I am about to share with you.
It’s nothing revolutionary but here it is:
For content I am focusing on 4 posts per day:
Value post
Growth post
Personal post
Promotion post
For Audience growth I am focusing on posting the content mentioned above, plus manually working for followers through quality engagement.
Let me break it down a little further.
Value Post
The goal of this post is to obviously bring value to the consumer. What that means is providing a solution or insight to a problem my audience may have.
Growth Post
All my posts technically have the goal of growing my social following, however the growth post has a specific goal of getting as much engagement and reach as possible. AKA the trying to go viral post.
Personal Post
The goal of this post is to make my audience feel like they know me as a person even though they have never met me. I want my audience to become invested in me as a person, carving out my niche of one even further.
Promotional Post
Pretty self-explanatory. This post is to shamelessly promote either my newsletter, a lead magnet or a digital product or something along those lines.
Now here is my engagement strategy broken down further:
Find bigger creators who have the audience I want to have and look through the comments on their posts
I scroll through the accounts that have commented on the bigger creators posts and open a new tab for each account that fits this criteria:
Criteria:
They are following a decent amount of people, meaning there is a better chance of them following me.
They are a verified account.
They post consistently.
I resonate with their posts and profile or find their content valuable.
I go through each account and comment 3-4 thoughtful comments on their recent tweets. No ChatGPT comments repeating what they said or single word “agree” comments.
I follow their account.
I do this for 20 accounts at a time at least once per day. Ideally twice per day.
I was stuck at 140 followers for about a week, with no growth.
Then I started doing this and immediately started getting 10+ followers a day.
Not everyone you engage with and follow will follow you back, but that’s ok.
I have found that people I didn’t even engage with ended up following me based on the high quality comments they are seeing on the 20-40 accounts I engage with daily.
I wouldn’t worry about your following : follower ratio. Especially while you are still under a few thousand followers.
Once a month I go through the accounts I follow and unfollow people who:
Stopped posting
I don’t actually resonate with
Aren’t following me back (unless I genuinely like their content or personality)
Just remember. Do everything with intention and don’t spam the follow button or spam low quality comments. Take the time to truly read peoples posts and thoughtfully respond + analyze if you think its worth the follow that person.
I’m sure this method will get tweaked again in the future but for right now this is what seems to be working for me and what makes sense.
Hope this was able to bring you some insights on how to grow your account.
Thank you for reading and talk soon,
Jackson
